2013 NFL Draft cornerback rankings

Wesley Hitt

At the NFL Scouting Combine, Alabama's Dee Milliner clearly distinguished himself as the top cornerback in the 2013 NFL Draft. While there is debate at many other positions, Milliner is almost universally considered the top cornerback in this class. While he's not quite on the same level as Morris Claiborne or Patrick Peterson, he's the best at the top of the class this year.

Behind Milliner, there is plenty of debate. We've pushed Xavier Rhodes of Florida State up to the second spot. The big dropper among cornerbacks? It's Johnthan Banks of Mississippi State. He's still a good cornerback. But his NFL Combine limits the amount of teams that may be interested in him. NFL teams are that fickle about cornerbacks. Without top speed, NFL teams won't think as highly of him.

Like many of the defensive groups this year, cornerback is loaded with depth. This class should produce a lot of starters. And it features the draft's biggest wild card, Tyrann Mathieu.
