Adrian Peterson carried the Vikings to the playoffs last year, but the team needs to find other ways to move the ball on offense. The defense is also in need of some talent in certain area. While Minnesota managed to get to 10 wins a season ago, the roster still needs plenty of work.
Top Three Needs
Wide receiver - The Vikings had issues at wide receiver even before losing Harvin. Despite signing Greg Jennings, Minnesota needs to find more weapons for Christian Ponder. Peterson out-rushed 24 teams on his own last season, but without the passing game picking up some steam, the Vikings will continue to stall in the playoffs.
Defensive tackle - With Kevin Williams aging and no capable talent next to him on the defensive line, the Vikings could look to find a defensive tackle early in the 2013 NFL Draft. Alabama's Jesse Williams would be a nice fit with one of the team's first-round picks.
Linebacker - Given the Vikings' cover-two scheme, a true middle linebacker that can do it all is vital to their defense. Minnesota could have a few options in the first round, including Arthur Brown of Kansas State.
