This probably isn't how the second-year quarterback expected to start his playoff career.
Kaep or pick? Pick.
Well, this is not going as planned for the 49ers. Unless they planned to let the Packers get off to an early lead and then lull them into a deep sleep while they take the lead at the end of the fourth quarter. If that is the plan, then they are off on the right foot!
Colin Kaepernick's first playoff pass attempt was a nine-yard completion to Michael Crabtree. Kaepernick's second playoff pass attempt went for a touchdown but unfortunately, not one for his own team. Sam Shields intercepted Kaepernick and returned it 52 yards for a touchdown. That's what we call a "Kaeper-pick-6" and the Packers lead 7-0 early in the game.
On the following drive, Kaepernick has driven the 49ers deep into Green Bay territory, mostly on a 45-yard completion to Frank Gore. It appears as though he has remembered that he is on the red team and not the green team. Plenty of time to keep lulling the Packers into that coma.
