Baltimore Ravens running back Bernard Pierce missed practice on Wednesday, as the Ravens prepare to take on the New England Patriots in the AFC title game.
According to the Baltimore Sun, Pierce re-aggravated his right knee injury during Baltimore's thrilling 38-35, double overtime win over the Denver Broncos during the Divisional round.
In Baltimore's Wild Card win over the Indianapolis Colts, Pierce led the Ravens with 103 rushing yards -- 35 more than Ray Rice, on two fewer carries than Rice. Pierce only had five carries for 14 yards in the Divisional round.
During the regular season, Pierce carried the ball 108 times for 532 yards -- good for a 4.9 yards per carry average.
Despite the injury, Pierce "pledged" he'd be ready to play on Sunday.
Again per the Baltimore Sun, Brendon Ayanbadejo missed practice, but did not appear to suffer an injury during Baltimore's Divisional round win over Denver.
Kickoff between Baltimore and New England is set for 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, with a trip to Super Bowl XLVII on the line.
