Ray Lewis' side is getting the job done, but what about Flacco and the offense?
The story in the AFC Championship game is pretty simple: Ray Lewis faces a fork in the road that leads to either retirement or the Super Bowl. After one quarter of action, it's still impossible to know which path he'll end up walking down.
The Baltimore defense has done an excellent job against the high-powered Patriots offense so far and New England has punted on three of their four drives. Their other drive ended on a 31-yard Stephen Gostkowski field goal. However, that's enough for the Patriots to lead after the first quarter, as the Ravens have come up empty thus far.
Joe Flacco started 1-of-6 passing and Baltimore punted on each of their first three drives. In the beginning of the second quarter, the Ravens are driving and looking to either take the lead or tie the game at the very least. There's still a lot of time left and Torrey Smith is not likely to be this quiet against the New England secondary all night long.
And I'm sure that Lewis won't walk down the retirement path quietly.
