Super Bowl 2013 tickets: Cheapest prices are slowly rising as big game approaches

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

Tickets for Super Bowl 2013 are still being bought and sold, so you can find one if you want one, but the prices are now going even higher.

The only way to come across a cheap ticket to the Super Bowl is to steal one or win a contest. This is true whether you buy the ticket the day before the big game or several months prior. It's just a very, very expensive hobby.

But a ticket, if you have the money, is generally never out of reach if you absolutely need to watch the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens slug it out on the big stage. In fact, judging by the latest numbers from Tiqiq, there are still over 4,500 tickets available on the second-hand market.

The prices are climbing, though. We took a look at the ticket prices on Monday, and the cheapest available was $1,176, for a seat in the nosebleeds in section 645, row 32.

Now, the cheapest ticket is over $1500. At the time of writing specifically, the cheapest ticket is $1,580 for section 628, row 35. That's an endzone seat ... but one way up in the nosebleeds.

The most expensive ticket prices are not going up just yet. The most expensive ticket will run you $5,916, which is actually down from Monday's most expensive ticket. There are plenty in between, but at this point, you likely won't see the price drop below $1,500 for any tickets in the stadium.
