Super Bowl odds 2013: 49ers are 3 1/2-point favorites

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

The line has dipped a bit, but it will likely stay steady.

With four days until Super Bowl XLVII, the San Francisco 49ers are still the favorites.

The 49ers are, in fact, a 3 1/2-point favorite over the Baltimore Ravens, according to OddsShark. The over/under is set at 47 1/2.

The 49ers opened as 5-point favorites, but that has shrunk a little bit over the last week and a half. Unless something drastic happens, the 49ers will be the favorites heading into Sunday night's game.

Niners Nation touched on why the line has dropped since it opened. For more on the Ravens, visit Baltimore Beat Down.

Despite the 49ers being the favorites since day one, the teams are close in a lot of respects. The Ravens averaged 24.9 points per game this season, while the 49ers were at 24.8. They also had an identical turnover differential at -0.6.

The biggest story line, of course, is the Harbaugh brothers coaching against each other. But the main highlight Sunday, when it comes to things actually on the field, is the young, fast Colin Kaepernick against the old, tested Ravens defense. The Ravens defense has held up all this way and survived Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, but can it stop Kaepernick?
