Patriots G Logan Mankins is an unsigned restricted free agent at the moment. If he does sign his tender. he'll be eligible to be traded.
One of the NFL trade rumors that we've seen popping up includes Mankins and the Bears, who are giving up a lot of sacks. ESPNChicago.com writes that a deal between the two teams is unlikely.
They’re just not likely to find them by Tuesday’s trade deadline, according to multiple personnel executives around the league, who identified some of the potential snags of a trade while questioning whether Mankins is actually worth what Chicago would have to give up to acquire him.
The NFL trade deadline is just a few hours away and there are a lot of things that would have to be done for the two sides to consummate a trade. It doesn't seem likely.
