Read More: Brett Favre (QB - MIN), New England Patriots
Vikings QB Brett Favre said on Thursday that he was hoping to practice on Friday after suffering an ankle injury last week. He was in a walking boot earlier on Wednesday but ditched that on Thursday and now, on Friday, he's back on the practice field, according to the Associated Press.
Favre threw "a few easy passes" but didn't demonstrate much mobility staying away from roll outs or deep drop backs. He's sporting tape on his left ankle (which is better than the walking boot).
The latest reports that have come out suggest Vikings head coach Brad Childress is "leaning toward" starting backup QB Tarvaris Jackson on Sunday. However, most people associated with Favre and/or the Vikings say they would be surprised if he wasn't in there on Sunday.
The Vikings play the Patriots on Sunday afternoon and we'd imagine Favre will travel with the team to New England. Check out Daily Norseman and SB Nation Minnesota for more on Favre's injury.
