Brett Favre may be starting, but it appears clear that Adrian Peterson will be finishing anything the Vikings do today.
Peterson's 14th carry of the day was the first of the second quarter, and got him a one-yard touchdown. Peterson already has 60 yards for the Vikings on just two drives.
Favre's major contribution to Minnesota's scoring drive wasn't even his fault: Favre drew a helmet-to-helmet hit from Gary Guyton that kept the drive alive, and Peterson was able to finish it.
The Patriots have started slow, by contrast, gaining just 32 yards so far and notching only one first down. If they don't pick it up soon, or start getting stops against the potent Vikings offense — now without Percy Harvin, who is on the sideline after apparently spraining his ankle — Randy Moss' return to New England may not end well for the home team.
