The first drive of the second half featured some of the balance Minnesota could use if it wants to improve as this season wears on.
And Brett Favre's mobility won't hurt, either.
The Vikings mixed the run and the pass to get deep into Patriots territory, but had to settle for a Ryan Longwell field goal to take back the lead.
One of the better plays of the drive included Favre scrambling to his right and finding Adrian Peterson deep in the secondary. It showcased a bit more mobility than the average 41-year-old with a fractured foot has, and it was just the latest bit of a very good day for the gunslinger.
Favre is 16 of 20 through the air for 185 yards, and, more importantly, has avoided the costly turnovers that have been the downfall of the Minnesota offense this season.
As a result, Minnesota is in good shape to get a road win against the Patriots in Foxboro.
