Brett Favre threw an interception. But for once, it wasn't (entirely) his fault.
Favre threw a bullet that went off Percy Harvin's hands and into Devin McCourty's, and the rookie cornerback ran it back to the Vikings 37. The Patriots made quick work of the short field, getting a touchdown from BenJarvus Green-Ellis just four plays later.
Whether or not it was Favre's fault, though, that interception has now put the Vikings in a 21-10 hole, and there isn't a clear route out of it. Adrian Peterson has been slowed in the second half, and Favre's locked on to Harvin all day with diminishing returns.
Perhaps the Vikings' best chance of getting back into this game in a hurry will involve that big, fast wideout they traded for a while ago. Randy Moss has been nearly invisible in his return to New England, often seeing exotic coverages, but Favre has also only thrown his way twice, and Moss has just one catch for eight yards.
