The Jacksonville Jaguars' fears on Aaron Kampman are true: torn ACL. That injury will put him out for the season after just nine weeks. Kampman injured his knee during the Jaguars practice on Thursday. He had an MRI on Thursday night, the results of which are just being shard.
Last year Kampman suffered an ACL injury but it was to his left knee. This time around it's the same injury to the other knee. It's the second consecutive year Kampman has ended the year with a knee injury. SB Nation's Big Cat Country wrote on Friday that his impact will be missed.
Aaron Kampman was probably the leader for the Comeback Player of the Year Award at this point, as well as the Jaguars sack leader. Jeremy Mincey will start in his place, but Kampman's production probably won't be replaceable by just one player.
Kampman was a 2002 fifth round pick of the Packers where he played until March of this year signing with the Jaguars. This is obviously a devastating blow to Jaguars fans, who will be seeing their team face the Texans on Sunday. Check out what they're saying at Big Cat Country.
