Eagles Vs. Redskins: VIDEO Of Michael Vick's Opening Play Touchdown

We should have known Michael Vick was about to unleash a statistical cream dream on Eagles fans Monday night after the first play from scrimmage. Here’s Vick airing it out to DeSean Jackson for an 88-yard bomb that pretty much represented everything that was to come during Philly’s 59-28 gorefest over the Redskins.

Head on over to Bleeding Green Nation for the victory parade or feel free to stop by Hogs Haven to wish them condolences.

Eagles Vs. Redskins: Michael Vick May Have Just Had The Greatest Statistical Game In NFL QB History

Have you been missing puff pieces of the resurrection of Michael Vick? Well do I have a week for you…it’s called THIS week because you can expect to read about 5,000 stories on how Michael Vick, master of perseverance, is officially back on top. His six-touchdown performance in Philadelphia’s 59-28 dismantling of the Washington Redskins on Monday night is proof of that.

That he did it against Philly’s former golden boy, Donovan McNabb, on the same day Donny received an $78 million-dollar contract extension will no doubt be used to chart the path that both players, and both franchises, are on.

However you feel about Vick, the proof is in the statistics. 20-28 for 333 yards and four touchdowns to go with 80 yards on eight rushes complete with two touchdowns. That line is so good, it might just be the best…ever?

He became the first player in the NFL history to record the following stats in a single game:

300+ passing yards
50+ rushing yards
4+ passing TDs
2+ rushing TDs

He had more fantasy points tonight than any player since the AFL/NFL merger. By the way, he reached that plateau by the midway point of the third quarter.

Eagles Vs. Redskins: Don't Tell Keiland Williams This Game Is Over

Tonight’s Eagles-Redskins game might be completely out of reach but that doesn’t mean the dozens and dozens of Keiland Williams fantasy football owners have to suffer.

Williams just inked his second touchdown of the night, a 32-yard scamper that makes it a slightly-more-but-not-really respectable 39-28 with 11:16 left in the game.

Williams now has eighty yard and two touchdowns on the night. That’s the exact same rushing stats as Michael Vick.

Eagles Vs. Redskins: Philly Not Interested In Letting This Become A Game

The Redskins got the second half kicked off the right way. They drove down the field to score a touchdown and make it a more manageable 24 point affair. Then on the ensuing kickoff, Philadelphia botched the return, luckily recovering their own fumble. It seemed as though the momentum-meter had finally swung in Washington’s direction.

And that’s when Michael Vick led the Eagles down the field on an eleven-play, seventy-yard drive that ended with -yard pass to Jason Avant for the touchdown.

And just in case you weren’t sure if the Redskins still had any chance, Donovan McNabb’s first pass on the ensuing drive was intercepted by Dimitri Patterson for a touchdown. 59-21 Eagles.

I’m beginning to think the contract extension was a bad idea.

Eagles Vs. Redskins: Washington Opens Second Half With Pretty Nice Drive, Actually

If you’re just going off of the second half of tonight’s Eagles-Redskins game, Washington is complete control. The Redskins kicked things off with an 8-play 56-yard drive culminating in a four-yard touchdown run for Keiland Williams. Philly 45, Washington 21.

Williams now has 31 yards on 10 rushes and the touchdown. It doesn’t sound like much but the Redskins take their successes where they can get them.
