The Redskins got the second half kicked off the right way. They drove down the field to score a touchdown and make it a more manageable 24 point affair. Then on the ensuing kickoff, Philadelphia botched the return, luckily recovering their own fumble. It seemed as though the momentum-meter had finally swung in Washington’s direction.
And that’s when Michael Vick led the Eagles down the field on an eleven-play, seventy-yard drive that ended with -yard pass to Jason Avant for the touchdown.
And just in case you weren’t sure if the Redskins still had any chance, Donovan McNabb’s first pass on the ensuing drive was intercepted by Dimitri Patterson for a touchdown. 59-21 Eagles.
I’m beginning to think the contract extension was a bad idea.
