VIDEO: Richard Seymour Punches Ben Roethlisberger, Gets Ejected

It's not a stretch to say that there might be a few people on Earth who want to punch Ben Roethlisberger, thanks to the conduct that led to multiple allegations of rape. The difference between those people and Richard Seymour is that today, Richard Seymour did just that.

Seymour punched Roethlisberger in the jaw, knocking him down, and got ejected from today's Raiders-Steelers game for his trouble. It's a stupid move, but it probably won't change the course of the game — Seymour's punch came with Oakland down 20-3, thanks in part to a weaving rushing touchdown by Roethlisberger — and it should definitely lighten Seymour's wallet and merit a suspension.

As for Roethlisberger, he appears to be just fine, remaining in the game. And if his pride is wounded, well, it's safe to assume there's no shortage of football fans who were dismayed by his off-field conduct that will be pleased by that development.
