Hey, hey... Come on! This should be a good thing guys! It's the ultimate seal of mainstream acceptance. After everything that's happened to Michael Vick, he's back on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
A decade removed from his first Sports Illustrated cover, the man that was supposed to teach us about a "quarterback revolution" is back to teach us about... Well, us.
But maybe more of a benchmark for his progress than any magazine cover is this: At the end of the day, I'm more worried about Sports Illustrated jinxing the Vick resurgence than embracing it. With or without the media's blessing, he's been way too fun to watch for this to end with some fluke, curse-induced injury. So, **fingers crossed**

Sports Illustrated article on Michael Vick: "Is it ok to cheer?"
Who is S. L. Price, the Sports Illustrated writer, to say Michael Vick has not paid his dues? I disagree with his premise: “People talk of hating his crime, loving his game, as if the two can be separated. They can’t.”
I feel that if my three dogs spend the rest of their lives with Michael Vick they would be safer than many of the women who had the misfortune of being with Ben Roethlisberger for a few minutes.
Michael Vick has publicly atoned for his crime: he spent time in prison and paid millions of dollars in fines. He deserves a chance if he can do the job, which he can. He deserves a cheer if we believe in our system of justice.
Ben Roethlisberger has evaded criminal prosecution for numerous and repeated alleged sexual predatory behaviors, and is facing a civil lawsuit filed by one brave victim.
SI is giving Roethlisberger a free pass and persecuting Vick.
What’s wrong here?
