The Arizona Cardinals were embarrassed on national TV as they were routed by the San Francisco 49ers 27-6 on Monday Night Football. The most noteworthy event of the night came in the press conference with this Derek Anderson tirade.
But what about the game? SB Nation's Revenge Of The Birds has taken a look at the good, bad and ugly of the game and there's an overload on ugly. For example:
Tim Hightower had zero yards on five carries. You want to lose a game easily? Make your team one-dimensional. You want to guarantee a loss? Rely on Derek Anderson.
Brian Westbrook had 136 yards. Frank Gore went down in this game (and for the season) giving Arizona some hope that they could stop the 49ers. Unfortunately, his backup, Westbrook, lit it up to the tune of 136 yards.
Larry Fitzgerald dropped a touchdown. This isn't completely on him but even Arizona's best players were making mistakes.
Check out Revenge Of The Birds for the good, bad and ugly where the good includes the halftime show.
