The Dallas Cowboys, with their backs against the wall, responded, driving 80 yards in nine plays to pull within three points late in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Jon Kitna, with the game on the line, showed off a surprising “burst” of speed on fourth down and seven, picking up 10 yards and the first down. Two plays later, Kitna found Jason Witten in the seam for 22 yards and a much-needed touchdown.
Up until the drive, Philadelphia held all the momentum. With the score tied, Desean Jackson took the wind out of the Cowboys’ sails, catching a quick pass and taking it 91 yards for a touchdown. Kitna followed that up with an interception, setting up a David Akers field goal.
The 80-yard drive was all Kitna as he passed for 61 yards and ran for 19 yards on two runs. The quarterback was nearly perfect, completing five of seven passes. On the day, Kitna’s thrown for 242 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
