Minnesota Vikings QB Brett Favre is inactive tonight against the New York Giants, ending his record 297-game consecutive starts streak. Tarvaris Jackson will get the start, and quite possibly start a streak of his own to end the season, and life will go on. But which NFL player will take over as football's longest streaker*?↵
Peyton Manning has started 205 games in a row for the Indianapolis Colts, putting him in first place. Since being drafted in 1998, Manning has yet to miss a start. Tampa Bay Buccaneers CB Ronde Barber is also in the running, with 179 straight. Barber was drafted a year before Manning, but took a while to work his way into the starting lineup.
Washington Redskins LB London Fletcher was drafted in '98, but also didn't get his first start until his second season. He'll be in second place on the active streak list once Favre's has officially ended. Fletcher's sitting at 164 straight starts.↵
* There may be a better way to word this.↵
