Read More: Jacksonville Jaguars, Washington Redskins
The Jacksonville Jaguars lost last week to the Indianapolis Colts giving up their hold on the AFC South. The Jags will now need to win out and hope Indy slips up down the stretch. The Jaguars will host the Donovan McNabb-less Washington Redskins on Sunday.
The Jaguars are the better team and they should cruise in this one because Washington's defense (or offense) doesn't do anything exceptionally welly. Their defense is 30th against the pass and 27th against the run which bodes well for Maurice Jones-Drew who is having another terrific year. The Jaguars on offense have an advantage over the Redskins on defense. Jacksonville has the third ranked run defense which shouldn't matter a whole lot because only one team runs less than the Redskins.
And then there's the quarterback situation which again favors Jacksonville. The Redskins will be rolling with Rex Grossman again this week after Mike Shanahan decided to put McNabb down with the playoffs out of reach. Grossman can do some things but there's no doubt opponents would rather see him than McNabb.
The Jaguars are seven point favorites which is a big line. I think Jacksonville wins this one but Washington keeps it within seven..
