The Chiefs did what they had to do to stay on top in the AFC West.
The listless Titans made sure that that wasn't much.
Jamaal Charles totaled 117 yards from scrimmage and caught two touchdowns, Dwayne Bowe had six catches for 153 yards and a score, and Eric Berry returned a Kerry Collins interception for a touchdown as the Chiefs routed the Titans 34-14.
The Chiefs controlled the ball for nearly 40 minutes of game clock, and harassed Collins (14 of 37 through the air) all day. Randy Moss, the Titans' big midseason acquisition, had zero catches.
And Matt Cassel was excellent, throwing for 314 yards and three touchdowns.
The win moves the Chiefs to 10-5 on the season, and enables Kansas City to win the AFC West with a win in Week 17. The loss drops the Titans to 6-9 and officially eliminates them from playoff contention.
