Today, the Colts did something they haven’t done in a long time: they rushed for more yards than they passed for.
Indianapolis rushed for 191 yards and QB Peyton Manning passed for 179 yards en route to victory.
Manning completed 16 of 30 passes for 179 yards (three touchdowns, two interceptions). His counter part, QB Jason Campbell, completed 29 of 42 yards for 230 yards (one touchdown).
Penalties were a big problem for the Raiders today; they accumulated 10 for 116 yards. Time of possession was nearly even, as both teams possessed the football for about 30 minutes each.
This game was won, though, with the Colts’ rushing defense, which has been susceptible to rushing attacks this season. The Raiders had been running the ball well in previous weeks, but rushed for only 80 yards today. RB Darren McFadden rushed 11 times for 45 times.
Colts recorded 27 first downs to Raiders’ 16.
