NFL Week 3 Preview, Prediction: Chicago Bears Vs. Green Bay Packers

Chicago Bears (2-0) vs. Green Bay Packers (2-0)

When: 8:30 p.m. Monday, ESPN

SB Nation Bears: Windy City Gridiron

SB Nation Packers: Acme Packing Company

Breakdown: We're dealing with one elite quarterback (Aaron Rodgers) and another one who's trying to prove he's elite (Jay Cutler). We know what Rodgers can do and what he brings to the table but Cutler is the one who has been surprising us the last two weeks. This will ultimately become a battle of quarterbacks so look for lots of points to be scored. The Bears defense can play the run very well but you won't find the Packers running it all that often.

Player to Watch: Jay Cutler. He's been awfully impressive in two wins this year for the Bears. The Martz influence is clearly in affect and I suspect that will continue this week. Cutler should have another big day but avoiding interceptions will be key.

Line: Packers are three point favorites.

Prediction: I don't think I'm to the point where I can pick the Bears over a time like the Packers but playing at Soldier Field will make this one interesting. I'm going with the Packers but only by a field goal or less.

NFL Week 3 Preview, Prediction: New York Jets Vs. Miami Dolphins

New York Jets (1-1) vs. Miami Dolphins (2-0)

When: 8:20 p.m. Sunday, NBC

SB Nation Jets: Gang Green Nation

SB Nation Dolphins: The Phinsider

Breakdown: We know what we're going to get with the Jets defense. What we don't know is which Mark Sanchez we're going to get. If the Week 2 (2000-plus yards and three touchdowns) Sanchez shows up, the Jets will roll. Either way this should be a very tight, AFC East divisional matchup.

Player to Watch: LaDainian Tomlinson. He had over 100 total yards last week and he can help Mark Sanchez, who's another key to the game. Tomlinson has always been a terrific pass-catcher so if he can consistently be an outlet for Sanchez, he could see some significant time with the ball in his hands.

Line: Dolphins are two point favorites.

Prediction: Maybe I'm still caught up in the preseason hype surrounding the Jets but I'm betting on Rex Ryan to pull this one out.

NFL Week 3 Preview, Prediction: Oakland Raiders Vs. Arizona Cardinals

Oakland Raiders (1-1) vs. Arizona Cardinals (1-1)

When: 4:00 p.m. Sunday, CBS

SB Nation Raiders: Silver And Black Pride

SB Nation Cardinals: Revenge Of The Birds

Breakdown: You won't see a Pro Bowl quarterback in this game. The Raiders could roll with backup Bruce Gradkowski while Derek Anderson continues to be the man in Arizona. This has the makings of a very ugly game.

Player to Watch: Larry Fitzgerald. Along with Nnamdi Asomugha, he's one of the few elite players in this game. Besides being on my fantasy team, Larry Fitzgerald needs a big day against a Raiders defense that has the potential to be good up front. Derek Anderson threw two picks last week so it's time for him to get back on track with Fitzgerald.

Line: Cardinals are 4.5 point favorites.

Prediction: How far have the Raiders fallen? They're 4.5 point underdogs to the Derek Anderson-led Cardinals. Like everyone else, I'm not betting on the Raiders -- take the Cards.

NFL Week 3 Preview, Prediction: San Diego Chargers Vs. Seattle Seahawks

San Diego Chargers (1-1) vs. Seattle Seahawks (1-1)

When: 4:00 p.m. Sunday, CBS

SB Nation Chargers: Bolts From The Blue

SB Nation Seahawks: Field Gulls

Breakdown: Which Chargers team shows up means a lot in this game. If it's the team that showed up against the Chiefs, the Seahawks have a shot. If it's the team that whooped the Jaguars 38-13, then the Seahawks are in trouble. If the Chargers are on, the Seahawks don't have a great chance.

Player to Watch: Antonio Gates. In the Chargers only loss this year, the Chiefs gave him lots of attention and shut him down for the most part in the second half. Stop Antonio Gates and make someone else like Malcolm Floyd beat you.

Line: Chargers are 5.5 point favorites.

Prediction: The Chargers should win this game handily if they bring the same team that played against the Jaguars last week.

NFL Week 3 Preview, Prediction: Indianapolis Colts Vs. Denver Broncos

Indianapolis Colts (1-1) vs. Denver Broncos (1-1)

When: 4:00 p.m. Sunday, CBS

SB Nation Colts: Stampede Blue

SB Nation Broncos: Mile High Report

Breakdown: The Broncos defense won't change much of what Peyton Manning plans to do on Sunday and that's score quite a bit. This game will still be interesting because Kyle Orton is among the most efficient and underrated quarterbacks in the NFL.

Player to Watch: Kyle Orton. You won't lose often completing 46-of-68 passes for 601 yards and three touchdowns over a two-game stretch. Orton is playing very well (and no one seems to be noticing).

Line: Colts are 5.5 point favorites.

Prediction: I'm picking the Colts but Orton and the Broncos won't get blown out.

NFL Week 3 Preview, Prediction: Philadelphia Eagles Vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Philadelphia Eagles (1-1) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1)

When: 4:00 p.m. Sunday, FOX

SB Nation Eagles: Bleeding Green Nation

SB Nation Jaguars: Big Cat Country

Breakdown: The Eagles appear to hold many of the advantages here with Vick, the receivers and LeSean McCoy. That said, the Jags still have Maurice Jones-Drew and he can still carry a team to victory. This will be an up tempo offense versus a much slower, run-first offense.

Player to Watch: Michael Vick. How could it be anyone else? He'll be the one everyone is watching this game after the Eagles chose him over Kevin Kolb.

Line: Eagles are three point favorites.

Prediction: Michael Vick looked awfully good last week. I'm not sure if this Jaguars defense is quick enough to keep up with him so I'm going with the Eagles.

NFL Week 3 Preview, Prediction: Washington Redskins Vs. St. Louis Rams

Washington Redskins (1-1) vs. St. Louis Rams (0-2)

When: 4:00 p.m. Sunday, FOX

SB Nation Redskins: Hogs Haven

SB Nation Rams: Turf Show Times

Breakdown: The Redskins have shown they can play with very good teams this year so they should be able to roll through the Rams. For the Rams, the key is getting Sam Bradford moving along in the offense and utilizing Stven Jackson to slow the game down in the Redskins are trying to speed it up.

Player to Watch: Steven Jackson. I don't see Sam Bradford beating the Redskins on his own but with the help of Jackson they can make it interesting. The Rams best shot is to feed Jackson as much as possible until the Redskins can stop him.

Line: Redskins are 3.5 point favorites.

Prediction: I don't think the Rams will be favored to win any more games this season. The 'Skins should take care of business.

NFL Week 3 Preview, Prediction: Dallas Cowboys Vs. Houston Texans

Dallas Cowboys (0-2) vs. Houston Texans (2-0)

When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, FOX

SB Nation Cowboys: Blogging The Boys

SB Nation Texans: Battle Red Blog

Breakdown: I had this game circled before the season started as one two of the best offenses are facing each other. I'll prefer to say the Cowboys offense and defense will soon revert back to 2009 form while the Texans offense never lost a beat. There will be lots of points scored in this game.

Player to Watch: DeMarcus Ware. You stop Matt Schaub and you stop the Texans. That's not exactly the case but close to it so the Cowboys need to unleash Ware and make Schaub think twice before dropping back to pass.

Line: Texans are three point favorites.

Prediction: I'll take the desperate team any day of the week. The Cowboys need this game more than the Texans

NFL Week 3 Preview, Prediction: Detroit Lions Vs. Minnesota Vikings

Detroit Lions (0-2) vs. Minnesota Vikings (0-2)

When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, FOX

SB Nation Lions: Pride Of Detroit

SB Nation Vikings: Daily Norseman

Breakdown: I don't think anyone figured both of these teams would be 0-2 at this point. The Vikings are better in most aspects of this game but they haven't closed it out yet. The Lions big play offense can certainly hang if things fall right.

Player to Watch: Jahvid Best. He's playing out of his mind to start his NFL career and he nearly carried the Lions to victory over the Eagles. Stopping Best will go a long way to stopping the Lions.

Line: Vikings are 11.5 point favorites.

Prediction: The Lions should not be 11.5 point underdogs. I don't see the Lions winning but I don't see them losing by much more than a touchdown.

NFL Week 3 Preview, Prediction: San Francisco 49ers Vs. Kansas City Chiefs

San Francisco 49ers (0-2) vs. Kansas City Chiefs (2-0)

When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, FOX

SB Nation 49ers: Niners Nation

SB Nation Chiefs: Arrowhead Pride

Breakdown: The quarterbacks are always key and they will be in this one. Alex Smith is coming off an impressive game against the Saints (despite the two interceptions) and Matt Cassel is statistically among the worst in the league. Which quarterback plays better will likely lead his team to victory.

Player to Watch: Matt Cassel. Alex Smith has shown some ability to lead his team this year but Cassel has shown. He's been a significant liability for the Chiefs to this point and if the 49ers slow down those Chiefs running backs they'll put the ball in Cassel's hands.

Line: 49ers are three point favorites.

Prediction: The Chiefs showed in Week 1 that the crowd noise at Arrowhead Stadium is back. I'd take the Chiefs in the upset.

NFL Week 3 Preview, Prediction: Atlanta Falcons Vs. New Orleans Saints

Atlanta Falcons (1-1) vs. New Orleans Saints (2-0)

When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, FOX

SB Nation Falcons: The Falcoholic

SB Nation Saints: Canal Street Chronicles

Breakdown: Assuming the Saints don't run the table on some ridiculous 14 of 15-win season, this could be a big division tie-breaker down the line. Looks for the Saints to come out firing on all cylinders after looking choppy at times offensively to start the season.

Player to Watch: Michael Turner: He's been limited in practice this week after suffering a groin injury last week. He's expected to play and the Falcons likely know the best way to slow down a high-scoring offense is to control the ball and slow the game down. Look for Turner to have a big role.

Line: Saints are 3.5 point favorites.

Prediction: I'll cautiously take the Saints here. The Falcons combo of Michael Turner and Jason Snelling is intriguing in a game like this though.

NFL Week 3 Preview, Prediction: Cincinnati Bengals Vs. Carolina Panthers

Cincinnati Bengals (1-1) vs. Carolina Panthers (0-2)

When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, CBS

SB Nation Bengals: Cincy Jungle

SB Nation Panthers: Cat Scratch Reader

Breakdown: The Jimmy Clausen era begins on Sunday. He's replacing Matt Moore so that will be the story line this game. The Bengals have a very good defense so expecting Clausen to do much in game one would be unrealistic.

Player to Watch: Chad Ochocinco. He's always a player to watch but in this game I see the Bengals getting a lead early with some help from Ochocinco and securing the game with that defense.

Line: Bengals are three point favorites.

Prediction: The Bengals will win this game because of that defense. Clausen has a tough test.

NFL Week 3 Preview, Prediction: Pittsburgh Steelers Vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Pittsburgh Steelers (2-0) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0)

When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, CBS

SB Nation Steelers: Behind The Steel Curtain

SB Nation Bucs: Bucs Nation

Breakdown: This game may be more interesting than people think. The Steelers' Dennis Dixon won't play which means it's the next quarterback in the rotation: Charlie Batch. A backup quarterback gives any opponent a chance, especially one playing well like the Bucs.

Player to Watch: Josh Freeman. Who knew coming into this game the Bucs may have the quarterback advantage? Freeman has been playing well and will need another big day to beat the Steelers defense.

Line: Steelers are three point favorites.

Prediction: The Steelers are on the road and the Bucs are still undefeated but I can't pick against Pittsburgh. I'm taking the Steelers by a touchdown or less.

NFL Week 3 Preview, Prediction: Cleveland Browns Vs. Baltimore Ravens

Cleveland Browns (0-2) vs. Baltimore Ravens (1-1)

When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, CBS

SB Nation Browns: Dawgs By Nature

SB Nation Ravens: Baltimore Beatdown

Breakdown: The Ravens are coming off of a tough division loss to the Bengals so you know they're going to be looking for blood. Meanwhile the Browns quarterback situation is in flux with Jake Delhomme still making his way back from injury. The Browns may be better going with the athletic Seneca Wallace to stay away from the Ravens pass rush.

Player to Watch: Josh Cribbs. The Browns won't march up and down the field against the Ravens because that defense is too tough. They'll need a big play in the passing game or the return from and most likely that comes from Cribbs.

Line: Ravens are 10.5 point favorites.

Prediction: The Ravens are more than likely going to win thanks to a couple of turnovers but over 10 points seems like a lot. I see the Ravens winning but not by much more than a touchdown.

NFL Week 3 Preview, Prediction: Buffalo Bills Vs. New England Patriots

Buffalo Bills (0-2) vs. New England Patriots (1-1)

When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, CBS

SB Nation Bills: Buffalo Rumblings

SB Nation Patriots: Pats Pulpit

Breakdown: How do you breakdown a game where one team is a 14.5 point favorite? The Patriots dominate just about every facet of this game. The Bills best hope is for C.J. Spiller to go wild with some big runs. I don't see this Bills team being able to consistently move the ball down the field.

Player to Watch: Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Bills benched Trent Edwards this week and will go with Fitzpatrick at quarterback. His first test: Bill Belichick's defense.

Line: Patriots are 14 point favorites.

Prediction: Take the Patriots and the points at home. They should roll in a big way.

NFL Week 3 Preview, Prediction: Tennessee Titans Vs. New York Giants

Tennessee Titans (1-1) vs. New York Giants (1-1)

When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, CBS

SB Nation Titans: Music City Miracles

SB Nation Giants: Big Blue View

Breakdown: The story line here will be the Giants defensive line stopping Chris Johnson. The Raiders couldn't stop him in Week 1 but the Steelers did in Week 2. The Giants defense as a whole will be in the spotlight after Antrel Rolle ripped some of organization's moves publicly this week.

Player to Watch: Vince Young. He was benched last week and has to step up if the Giants do what's expected and focus their attention on stopping Chris Johnson.

Line: Giants are three point favorites.

Prediction: I'd feel comfortable taking the Giants by three. The Titans are one-dimensional and you can't bet on Vince Young to beat you.
