The Cincinnati Bengals played the Baltimore Ravens close, but came up short while fumbling away a potential game-winning drive. As a result they'll finish 4-12 on the year, tying them with the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo didn't put up much of a fight against the New York Jets, losing 38-7.
With the 2-14 Carolina Panthers holding down the No. 1 pick, Bengals and Bills front office personnel will keep an eye on the 4-11 Denver Broncos game against the San Diego Chargers at 4:15. A Broncos win would move both the Bengals and Bills into the top three.
The 6-10 Detroit Lions and 5-11 Cleveland Browns will also switch spots (and possibly then some) after the Lions beat the Vikings and the Browns fell to the Steelers.
Another crucial (...) late game to keep an eye on, as far as draft order goes, is the battle (...) between the 5-10 San Francisco 49ers and 5-10 Arizona Cardinals. They're currently arranged back-to-back, at No. 5 and 6. And the Philadelphia Eagles are sitting several of their best players, including QB Michael Vick, against the Dallas Cowboys, so 5-10 Dallas could find itself exiting the top-10 if they're able to beat Philly's backups.
