Super Bowl 45: Packers Look To Boost 3-1 Record In Big Game

In Super Bowl 45, the Packers will have a chance to add to a stellar Super Bowl resume.

Green Bay, perhaps the NFL's most historic team, got a head start on Super Bowl history by claiming the first two Super Bowls. That start has helped them one of the best teams in Super Bowl history: the Packers are 3-1 all-time in Super Bowls, having been led to the promised land in consecutive years by both Bart Starr and Brett Favre.

Let's check out the Packers' Super Bowl history in advance of Super Bowl XLV:

Super Bowl I: Packers 35, Chiefs 10. The Packers laid a licking on the Chiefs in the first Super Bowl, scoring 21 unanswered second half points to win the first championship game between AFL and NFL champions. Max McGee scored the first touchdown in Super Bowl history, and Bart Starr was named Super Bowl MVP.

Super Bowl II: Packers 33, Raiders 14. The Packers began with a 13-0 run, then poured on 20 straight points after the Raiders' first touchdown. Bart Starr is named MVP again, and the Packers win their second straight Super Bowl without ever trailing.

Super Bowl XXXI: Packers 35, Patriots 21. Brett Favre throws for two touchdowns in his first and only Super Bowl win, but it's Desmond Howard who is named MVP after a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown that put the game away. Reggie White has three sacks in the game.

Super Bowl XXXII: Broncos 31, Packers 24. The Packers' only Super Bowl loss comes at the hands of John Elway and Terrell Davis. Green Bay has no answer for the Broncos' running back, who racks up 157 yards and a Super Bowl-record three rushing touchdowns en route to being named MVP, but it's Elway whose helicopter-like rotation on a late scramble becomes the iconic image in his first Super Bowl victory.

Super Bowl XLV: Packers vs. Steelers/Jets. Well, we'll just see, won't we?
