Chicago led 10-7 at the half but it was all Detroit the rest of the way, thanks in part to Jahvid Best's career-high 163 yards.

NFL Week 5 Scores, Bears Vs. Lions: Calvin Johnson, Jahvid Best Spark Monday Night Win

The Lions started slow, but got it going against the Bears to remain unbeaten.

Bears Vs. Lions: Jahvid Best Goes Off

If you thought Jahvid Best was done after his 88-yard touchdown, you were sadly mistaken. He's been surprisingly reliable the entire second half, helping Detroit keep the clock running and occasionally picking up huge chunks of yards, like this 44-yard gain that helped set up a Jason Hanson field-goal:

Best, whose previous career-high for a single game was 78 rushing yards, already has 163 yards on 12 carries. Needless to say, that 13.6 yards-per-carry will boost the 3.2 he averaged coming into the game.

VIDEO: Jahvid Best Is Super Fast, Breaks 88-Yard Touchdown Run

Is it possible for a player to have a breakout run? Jahvid Best just broke loose for an 88-yard touchdown to give the Lions a 21-10 lead against the Bears on Monday Night football.

In that one burst, Best topped his career high for rushing yards in a single NFL game, which was previously 78. Best had 13 total yards on his first four carries of the game.

The beauty of the play is that Best just finds a seam up the middle and accelerates so fast that no one can catch him. See for yourself, here's video of the run:

The TD scamper was the second-longest run in Lions history -- a franchise that once employed Barry Sanders. This run was actually longer than any run in Sanders' career.

A great run worthy of a great (horrible?) celebration. Take it away, Mr. Best:

VIDEO: Calvin Johnson Sets NFL Record With TD Catch

It took Calvin Johnson one a split-second to inject some excitement into this Bears vs. Lions Monday Night Football matchup. Detroit quarterback Matt Stafford found the wide receiver they call Megatron for a 73-yard touchdown that gave the Lions a 7-0 lead after a scoreless first quarter.

Johnson continues his brilliant (insane?) start to the 2011 season. How great has he been? With that catch, Johnson becomes the first player to record nine touchdowns in the first five games of the season.

Here's video of the record-setting grab:

To figure out how Johnson got so open, we turn to Smart Football's Chris Brown: "Great formation for the Lions. Two tight-ends each off the line: let Lions use both TEs and RB for 8-man protection. Time to hit CJ deep."
