Stay connected with SB Nation

After a scoreless first quarter, the Bears and Lions are picking up the pace on Monday Night Football. The Bears got on the board with a 44-yard field goal from Robbie Gould to cap a 10-play 57-yard drive for Chicago. The Bears trail by a score of 7-3 in the second quarter.

The Lions broke the 0-0 tie early in the second quarter on a 73-yard Calvin Johnson touchdown. With that catch, Johnson became the first player in NFL history to catch nine touchdowns in the first five games of the season. You can watch video of the highlight in the Monday Night Football StoryStream.

After getting stuffed on the goal line in the first quarter, the Bears have picked it up in the second quarter.
