Last week, the Lions overcame a 20-3 halftime deficit to beat the Cowboys. On Monday Night Football, Detroit only trailed the Bears 10-7 at the break so the comeback effort won't need to be quite as dramatic.
Matthew Stafford started the Lions off on the right foot in the second half with an 18-yard touchdown pass to tight end Brandon Pettigrew. The score gave Detriot a 14-10 lead against Chicago.
Here's video of the touchdown:
The Lions set up the touchdown by selling Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher on a run fake that freed Pettigrew over the middle. Detroit was able to use the play-action despite racking up just 22 yards on the ground so far this game.
With the running game stalled, the Lions have relied on their passing attack. Stafford has thrown for 189 yards and two touchdowns, including a 73-yard strike to Calvin Johnson in the second quarter.
