Vikings Vs. Bears: TV Schedule, Game Time, Announcers And More

The Chicago Bears and the Minnesota Vikings face off at Soldier Field on Sunday. Both teams hope that a win can help salvage rocky starts to the season.

The Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears find themselves in an odd spot, making up the basement of the NFC North behind the NFL's only two undefeated teams, the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions. With the playoff hopes for both teams all but dashed, Sunday's matchup will be for some pride in a season spiraling out of control.

The Bears will need to solve their problems protecting Jay Cutler before they can make any significant steps forward. Cutler has been sacked 18 times this season, tied for the most of any quarterback in the NFL with Seattle's Tarvaris Jackson and Sam Bradford of St. Louis. Unsurprisingly, those three teams are a combined 4-10 on the year. A normally opportunistic Bears' defense has usually helped make up for any offensive shortcomings. So far, Chicago ranks 29th in the NFL in total defense, however.

Minnesota is coming off the more impressive week 5, drubbing the Arizona Cardinals 34-10 thanks to three first quarter touchdowns from Adrian Peterson. Quarterback Donovan McNabb is still staving off Christian Ponder despite cries from fans to let the rookie play. It's not hard to understand the sentiment, considering McNabb's numbers. The former Eagle has just four touchdown passes on 57 percent passing for 849 yards this season.
