The Philadelphia Eagles head to Washington to take on an upstart Redskins squad. The Eagles hope to put their playoff hopes back on track with a critical divisional win.

The Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Redskins have traded places from a year ago. The Redskins sit atop the division at 3-1, thanks to a stout defense and some surprisingly decent play from quarterback Rex Grossman. The Vince Young-coined "Dream Team" Eagles find themselves in the basement of the NFC East, in large part due to a disappointing defense giving up over 26 points per game.

Two of the Redskins' three wins came against struggling St. Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals' squads, so there is still a lot left to prove. Vegas oddsmakers agree, setting the Eagles as 1½-point favorites despite the disparate records. Still, the Redskins have some good things going for them, notably at quarterback, where Grossman has been serviceable for the most part. The defense is third in the league giving up just 15.8 points per game. A pass rush led by Brian Orakpo is one of the best in the league, with 15 sacks prior to last week's bye.

Washington will hope to exploit an Eagles rush defense allowing over 140 yards per game on the ground. Ryan Torain had a big game before the bye, and appears ready to handle the rushing load with Tim Hightower expected to sit this week with a shoulder injury. The Eagles will not only need to solve some defensive issues, they will also need more consistency out of Michael Vick. Though Vick is averaging over 330 total yards per game, he has nine turnovers to his eight touchdown passes this season.
