Oakland Raiders kick return man Jacoby Ford showed off a little of the speed that former Raiders owner Al Davis prized so much among his skill players with a 101-yard kickoff return touchdown against the Cleveland Browns today.
Here is a video of Ford’s run and touchdown.
Notice how skillfully Ford maneuvers to stay in bounds, stepping lightly to keep his feet on the field. That touchdown gave Oakland a 14-7 lead over the Browns.
Ford, a second-year player out of Clemson, had a 101-yard kick return touchdown last year, and a total of three kick return touchdowns for the season. This was his first kick return touchdown of the 2011 season.
In addition to his return work, Ford has two catches for 16 yards in the game as a wide receiver. A win today would move the Raiders to 4-2 and tied with the Chargers, on a bye this week, for the AFC West lead.
