NFL Scores Week 6: Raiders Beat Browns, 24-10, Lose Jason Campbell

With starting quarterback Jason Campbell out due to injury, the Raiders had to get creative to beat the Browns. Enter Shane Lechler.

The Raiders lost their starting quarterback, and their punter threw for more points than the back-up. Oakland still had more than enough to beat anemic Cleveland, 24-17.

Shane Lechler's touchdown pass to Kevin Boss on a fake field goal and Jacoby Ford's 101-yard kickoff return gave the Raiders a commanding 24-7 lead entering the fourth quarter, and the Oakland defense held off the Browns' frantic fourth quarter comeback, which included a 95-yard touchdown drive and a recovered onside kick.

Lechler was one of three Raiders to throw a pass. Jason Campbell started, but left after sustaining what is reportedly a season-ending broken collarbone on a scramble; Kyle Boller, in relief of Campbell, threw for 100 yards. Darren McFadden ran for 91 yards and a touchdown to anchor the Raiders offense.

Colt McCoy was erratic, but effective. He threw for 215 yards and two touchdowns, but completed only 21 of 45 passes. Cleveland also briefly lost Peyton Hillis to a hamstring injury; the burly runner left and then returned, but had just 14 yards on the day.

With the victory, Oakland improves to 4-2 on the year. Cleveland falls to 2-3 in 2011 with the loss.
