Devin Hester has become more known for his punts returns as opposed to his kickoff returns as of late, but the Chicago Bears return man changed that during their Sunday Night Football game against the Minnesota Vikings. Hester returned a Ryan Longwell kick for 98 yards into the opposite end zone, his first kickoff return since 2007.
With Hester's touchdown -- his second touchdown (and highlight-worthy) play of the game -- he's now tied Rod Woodson and comes within just two touchdowns of Deion Sander's record for most return touchdowns. That is quite the feat, as the NBC announcers noted, considering both Sanders and Woodson were able to pad their stats with interception returns as well.
Hester looked like he might take the ensuing punt return to the end zone as well, but he mercifully just went out of bounds rather than trying to make the Vikings' special teams look foolish once again.
The Bears currently lead 33-10 midway through the third quarter.
