Read More: Brandon Lloyd (WR - NEP), Mike Sims-Walker (WR - STL), Denver Broncos, St. Louis Rams
Monday, Brandon Lloyd was traded from the Denver Broncos to the St. Louis Rams for a sixth round pick. To make room for Lloyd, the Rams waived the once-heralded Mike Sims-Walker.
Sims-Walker was drafted by the Jaguars in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft and went to become the Jaguars' leader in receptions (63) and receiving yards (869) by 2009. He accumulated 14 touchdowns and 1431 yards receiving in 2009 and 2010 combined.
After the 2010-11 season, the Jags did not re-sign Sims-Walker and signed with the Rams as a free agent. Since then, his career has gone downhill in a hurry. Despite beginning the season as a starter, Sims-Walker has had troubles since getting a case of the dropsies a few weeks back. He wasn't even active this past weekend.
He was barely mentioned in the team's official announcement.
Jaguars fans are wondering if their team should try and re-sign Sims-Walker and hope for a return to glory. It is unknown if Jacksonville has any interest in doing so.
