The New York Jets were able to kick a field goal and push their lead on the Miami Dolphins to 17-6. The drive was jump started by a 24-yard pass from Mark Sanchez to Dustin Keller on the sideline. Two plays later on third down, the Dolphins were flagged for an illegal contact penalty, giving the Jets a free first down and continued their drive.
From there the Jets pounded Shonn Greene a few times, but the drive ultimately stalled out when Sanchez threw incomplete on third down. Nick Folk kicked a 28-yard field goal to add three points to their lead over the Dolphins, 17-6. The Jets were able to force the Dolphins to punt and are driving down the field again.
