New York's play-calling looks alright tonight. The Jets have found the cure for what ails them: the Dolphins defense.
The Jets lead Miami 24-6 on Monday Night Football after quarterback Mark Sanchez found wide receiver Santonio Holmes for a 38-yard touchdown pass. Sanchez enjoyed all the time in the world to find Holmes on a short route over the middle. Holmes enjoyed a Dolphins defense that seemed uninterested in tackling him.
Check the video highlight and see for yourself:
Nice play. Fireman Ed approves.
Meanwhile, the Dolphins continue to struggle offensively. Brandon Marshall is close to going over 100 yards receiving but he's also had several key drops.
Check out the GIF below for another of Marshall's drops. It was originally ruled a catch but the officials review and overturned the play.
