Beanie Wells Stats Update: Arizona Cardinals Back Runs Wild In 2nd Half, But Losing Late

Stay connected with SB Nation

Running back Beanie Wells directed the Arizona Cardinals to a second half comeback against the New York Giants, but the Giants are close to their own late comeback. The Cardinals led, 27-24, but Eli Manning had a late TD pass for the 31-27 lead.

Wells, though, couldn't be stopped during the second half of the game. Down 10-6 to start the third quarter, the Cardinals saw Wells score twice in the quarter. His first was a one-yard run to cap a 78-yard drive. His second came as a result of an Eli Manning fumble. David Carter sacked and stripped the ball from Manning. Wells then completed two runs for a total of five yards and a touchdown.

He has 26 carries for 130 yards and three rushing touchdowns. Can he help the Cardinals come back once again?
