NFL Odds And Lines Week 7: Steelers Vs. Cardinals

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Arizona Cardinals are struggling, but they're only four-point underdogs against the Pittsburgh Steelers despite their 1-4 record.

The Arizona Cardinals sold the farm for Kevin Kolb, the man who was supposed to heal their quarterbacking ailments. While Kolb has been respectable thus far, things have gone far from smoothly, and his team is 1-4 through five games. In those five games, Kolb has five touchdown passes and six interceptions, despite the relatively solid production of Beanie Wells, Larry Fitzgerald and Early Doucet. Kolb was supposed to make the Cardinals a contender in a weak NFC West, and they're now miles behind the division leading 49ers.

Things will probably get worse for them on Sunday, though the oddsmakers are being kind to them at home. The 4-2 Pittsburgh Steelers come to visit them at University Of Phoenix Stadium, and they're just four-point favorites. One bookie has since reduced them to 3 1/2 point favorites. Maybe the bookies and those who bet their hard earned money on these things are seeing something beyond the obvious?
