Sam Bradford Injury: Rams QB Misses Practice Again Today

St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford did practice for the second straight day, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, as he continues to recover from a high ankle sprain in his left leg. Backup quarterback A.J. Feeley took all of the first team reps in Bradford’s place during practice at Rams Park in Earth City, MO.

Conflicting reports have emerged about whether or not Bradford will play this week. Adam Schefter reported yesterday that he would, but John Clayton said today that Feeley would start. Head coach Steve Spagnuolo refused to speculate on whether or not he would have his starting quarterback against the Cowboys this week.

Chris Mortensen of ESPN reported that Bradford will test his ankle on Friday. That would give the Rams time to make a decision to activate their third quarterback, Tom Brandstater, from the practice squad prior to the game.

Will Carroll of SI.com painted a more complete picture today of Bradford’s path back to the field. Carroll sounded more confident that Bradford would play, since the injury is to his left leg and not the right foot he plants when throwing the ball. If Bradford can tolerate the pain and drop back to make passes, or work from the shotgun, he should be able to play.
