The Steelers are the favorite against the down-and-out Cardinals in this recent Super Bowl rematch.
Not long ago, this was a Super Bowl-caliber matchup (well, it was a Super Bowl matchup). This year, the 1-4 Cardinals are expected to struggle against the 4-2 Steelers even at home in Arizona. Pittsburgh is off to a strong start despite injuries to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who is playing behind a sub-par offensive line.
Even SB Nation Arizona's Seth Pollack likes the Steelers in his NFL picks column.
The Cardinals had a players-only meeting after their embarrassing loss to Minnesota and claim to have had great practices last week and this week. They are saying all the right things but ultimately, it comes down to Kevin Kolb and his ability to read and react to pressure in the pocket and on that front, we're not sold. Pick: Steelers
Sports Illustrated's Peter King agrees, noting, "Arizona's averaging 19.2 points per game. Fans are wondering if Kevin Kolb's the genuine item. Against the top-rated defense in football, I don't think it's a good day for Kolb to come out of his funk."
ESPN.com's mega-panel of experts is leaning 7-1 in favor of the Steelers, with only Chris Mortensen giving the Cardinals a shot. Bucking the trend, CBSSports.com is leaning toward Arizona 3-2.
