The Indianapolis Colts have yet to win a game this season as Peyton Manning continues to heal from offseason surgery, but the Curtis Painter led team has another chance to get into the win column this weekend in a game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday Night Football. This week's NFL picks are certainly in favor of the Saints, but there are a couple of predictions out there assuming the Colts are bound to win one of these weeks.
SB Nation's own Andrew Sharp is a part of the popular opinion that believes the Colts have no chance, however.
Indianapolis at New Orleans (-15.5) ... Can't believe I picked the Colts to cover last week. The first rule of fight club is never better on the motherf***ing Colts, ever. (And now watch them cover.)
Unlike Sharp, four of the five experts over at CBS Sports believe the Colts will be able to cover the massive spread, though all agree the Saints will win out right. ESPN's unanimous in selecting the Saints and so are the three experts from Yahoo! Sports. Last, but not least, Sports Illustrated's Peter King believes it will be a blowout.
In the last Colts-Saints game at the Superdome, Katrina was 23 months away, the Colts won by 34, and Peyton Manning threw for six touchdowns with a perfect passer rating. How sad. Manning, barring a trade to an NFC team, probably will never get to play the Saints in his backyard again.
