This has to be the week that the Dallas Cowboys right the ship, right? The Cowboys are developing a nasty habit of blowing fourth quarter losses, and are probably getting sick of playing tight games by this point. Every single one of their matchups this year have been decided by four points or less. Hosting a winless St. Louis Rams squad that may be without Sam Bradford, Cowboys fans hope they can breathe a little easier this week.
Unfortunately, an anemic Dallas running attack took a big blow this week, losing Felix Jones for the game with a high ankle sprain. The Rams run defense ranks just 27th in the league giving up nearly 100 yards per game, providing talented rookie Demarco Murray some reason for optimism. The Cowboys' passing game should have its way with a porous secondary. That's if Tony Romo can shake off a so-so performance against the New England Patriots last week.
If Bradford sits, Steven Jackson should factor even more heavily into the gameplan than usual for the Rams. He averaged 5.3 yards per carry against the Green Bay Packers last week but couldn't find the end zone; per usual considering his supporting cast. This week marks the debut of Brandon Lloyd as a Ram, who will add a much-needed dimension as a deep threat if/when Bradford is fully healthy.
