Tim Tebow makes his starting debut this season for the Denver Broncos in Miami on Sunday. The Dolphins are still looking for their first win.
Tim Tebow will make his starting debut in relatively friendly confines. Yeah, he's on the road, but at 0-5, Miami Dolphin fans don't exactly have much to root for. The biggest cheers may be for the star quarterback's return, especially when the 2008 national champion Florida Gators are honored at halftime, a team that Tebow starred on.
The game itself has received little attention, and for pretty good reason. The Denver Broncos at 1-4 are essentially out of the playoff picture, ranking in the 30th in the league averaging just 304 total yards of offense per game. The Dolphins are one of three winless teams in the league along with the Indianapolis Colts and St. Louis Rams. The Dolphins' organization bought up all of the unsold tickets for the game to avoid the team's first blackout since 2001.
Whether Tebow is a bonafide NFL quarterback will be the biggest takeaway from this game between two of the league's biggest bottom-feeders. Whatever happens, be prepaid for another week chock-full of the overanalysis we have come to expect when it comes to the Broncos' quarterback.
