Three Mark Sanchez touchdown passes to Plaxico Burress helped the Jets come back and beat the Chargers.
Plaxico Burress was supposed to be one of the New York Jets' star performers in 2011. In Week 7, against the Chargers, his three touchdowns helped the Jets stage a major comeback for a 27-21 win over the Chargers.
Burress hauled in scoring passes from Mark Sanchez in the first, third, and fourth quarters, and the Jets overcame a 21-10 halftime deficit for a big win over the AFC West leaders.
Sanchez atoned for an early interception with his three touchdown passes, and Shonn Greene had 112 rushing yards for the Jets. Rex Ryan's defense also had two interceptions of Philip Rivers, and held the Chargers scoreless in the second half.
Mike Tolbert ran for 59 yards and a touchdown in the loss, and Antonio Gates had five catches for 54 yards and a touchdown.
With the win, the Jets move to 4-3 on the season, while the Chargers fall to 4-2 with the loss.
