Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder is a rookie making his first start in the NFL against the Green Bay Packers, the defending Super Bowl Champions. Despite his two earlier interceptions, Ponder hasn't seemed phased by the Packers defense mentally and has been hitting some critical throws, including this touchdown pass that pulled the Vikings within a score, 33-27.
Ponder hit wide receiver Michael Jenkins in the endzone for a 24-yard touchdown, which also had Ponder stepping up into the pocket knowing he'd get drilled. Ponder hit the pass and took the shot, showing he wasn't phased. Ponder hit a few other key throws on third down on the drive to keep it alive. He certainly doesn't look like a rookie right now.
