Matt Ryan Injury: Falcons QB Getting Second Opinion

The Atlanta Falcons received the biggest scare of the season on Sunday when Matt Ryan went down with what looked like a scary leg injury. A defender came down on him twisting his leg in an awkward way and Ryan came off the field. Here's the Matt Ryan injury video.

He later returned to the game which made us think the injury was no big deal. Maybe it isn't a big deal but Pro Football Talk reports that, while Ryan believes he's fine, he's getting a second opinion during the Falcons bye week.

The Falcons had a rough start to the season but have rallied for two straight victories. Losing Ryan for any stretch of time would be disastrous for a 4-3 team just trying to keep pace with the Saints in the NFC South. Ryan and the Falcons have a bye week coming, so that's good timing. From there, they'll play the Colts in a game they should be favored to win.

The latest on Matt Ryan will be coming soon but considering he returned to the game you have to think there isn't any serious damage done.
