Minnesota Vikings defensive end Brian Robison is a little lighter in the pocketbook after kicking Green Bay Packers lineman T.J. Lang in the groin on Sunday. During a scrum following a field goal attempt, Robison was caught on tape kicking Lang in the groin. Robison was flagged for the incident, and was hit with a $20,000 fine on Tuesday after the league reviewed the incident.
It appears the incident is water under the bridge for the two men involved. Robison explained himself and apologized, saying he was in the heat of the moment at the time.
Lang replied on Twitter that he accepted Robison's apology and did not consider him a dirty player.
Robison says he got caught up in the heat of the moment when he kicked Lang, who had dumped him on to his back during Mason Crosby's field goal attempt. Robison says he regrets it and will make sure it doesn't happen again.
Video of the incident can be found here.
