Chad Henne Injury: Miami Dolphins Quarterback Hurts Shoulder, Wants To Play Through Injury

The Miami Dolphins lost starting quarterback Chad Henne for the majority of their Sunday game after he injured his left shoulder. During the first quarter against the San Diego Chargers, Henne received the ball while in shotgun formation. He attempted to hand the ball off to Lex Hilliard, but it never took place. Trying to create something, Henne scrambled until he was knocked to the ground, injuring his left shoulder. Watch the play develop here:

The injury to his non-throwing shoulder forced Henne to miss the rest of the game, though he did stay in pads on the sidelines. Matt Moore relieved him and finished the game with 17 completions on 26 attempts and 167 yards.

Henne left the stadium with his arm in a sling, according to Ben Volin, and wants to play through the injury. The Dolphins have a bye this coming week before a Monday Night Football showdown with the New York Jets in Week 6.
