49ers Vs. Eagles: Michael Vick Throws Career-High 416 Yards, But Eagles Fall To 1-3

Stay connected with SB Nation

A Dream Team the Philadelphia Eagles are not, if we have learned anything during the first quarter of the 2011 season. The Eagles allowed 21 unanswered points to the San Francisco 49ers in the second half, putting the final score in favor of the Niners, 24-23. The Eagles are now 1-3 this season.

But Michael Vick sure did enjoy a career game in the loss. Vick threw for 416 yards, obliterating his previous career high of 337 yards. He set that previous record all the way back in 2002, though he came close to breaking it twice in 2010. He had two games of 333 passing yards then.

Vick completed 30 of 46 passes in the game, setting a new record for completions and tying his high mark for attempts in a game. Still, Vick would likely turn in all these personal bests for another victory.
